Another year as a global leader in sustainability

Another year as a global leader in sustainability

Tabcorp has retained its position as the Casinos and Gaming Sector’s global leader in the annual Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the second consecutive year.

The work Tabcorp has done to support its employees, launch a Human Rights Policy, reduce its environmental footprint, and brand management was reflected in the ratings.

Tabcorp improved in five areas: Human Capital Development, Human Rights, Operations Eco-Efficiency (environment), Risk & Crisis Management, and Information Security/ Cybersecurity & System Availability. This helped Tabcorp be the industry leader in eight of the 24 categories assessed.

The DJSI is an independent rating of the world’s leading listed companies, tracking governance, environmental and social performance.

Tabcorp has been rated in the DJSI since its inception in 2001.

Company Secretary Chris Murphy explained that 26 companies in the Casinos and Gaming Sector were assessed on 24 categories, ranging from Brand Management to Corporate Citizenship & Philanthropy, and Codes of Business Conduct to Occupational Health & Safety.

“Our score is a reflection of the great work we do as an organisation to deliver superb entertainment experiences ethically, responsibly and sustainably,” Chris said.

“It also highlights our progress in areas such as inclusion and diversity, employee benefits such as leave arrangements, managing our environmental impacts and stakeholder engagement.”
