Tabcorp backs Australian Trainers
Tabcorp and the Australian Trainers’ Association (ATA) have extended their exclusive national partnership.
The two organisations began their partnership in 2014 and the new agreement extends the arrangement for another year.
Tabcorp will continue to be the ATA’s exclusive sponsor and official wagering partner and have a major presence on all ATA communication channels.
Tabcorp’s Executive General Manager – Wagering, Andy Wright joined ATA Chief Executive Andrew Nicholl and ATA Victorian Vice-President, Troy Corstens at Flemington to announce the renewal of the partnership.
“We are the biggest financial backer of Australian racing returning over $900 million to the three codes in 2017/18,” Andy said.
“We support racing and its participants and our partnership with the ATA allows us to work with the organisation to help Australia’s trainers, who are a vital part of Australian racing.
“We’re delighted to partner with the ATA on a national scale for another 12 months.”
ATA Chief Executive Andrew Nicholl said the ATA highly value their partnership with Tabcorp.
“The 2018/2019 racing season will see the ATA, and Tabcorp, through its TAB & Sky Racing brands, feature prominently with trainers and racetracks across Australia, as we jointly promote a number of themed races, race day events – including the Australian Trainer’s Trust events nationally - and trainer connect breakfasts,” Andrew said.
“We are excited to have this opportunity to continue to work with Tabcorp. Our combined efforts will focus on showcasing this great thoroughbred racing industry of ours, and those who work within it.”
