Tabcorp joins racing partner to back women in racing
Tabcorp recently celebrated its inaugural joint Women’s Mentoring Program with its partner, Racing Victoria. Senior leaders and participants came together to mark the end of the joint program at Racing Victoria’s headquarters.
The 12-week program was introduced at Tabcorp in 2014 as part of the company’s focus on gender diversity. The joint version with Racing Victoria saw the fifth group of Tabcorp women complete the program.
The program aims to engage, grow and retain women in the racing industry through self-directed learning modules and group mentoring.
Units including ‘personal branding’ and ‘lead like a woman’, grow participants’ confidence and offer personal as professional benefits.
Tabcorp’s Chief Operating Officer Keno and Gaming, Adam Rytenskild, was a mentor in the program for the third time, providing encouragement and advice based on his experiences.
“As a mentor I actually learn a lot about myself throughout the program, so it’s not just valuable for the mentees,” he explained.
“It’s a great initiative and it was fantastic to partner with Racing Victoria for this round.”
Tabcorp is proud of its leadership in gender diversity. In 2016 the company received citation from the Federal Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality. Tabcorp is the only gambling company in Australia to receive this citation.
