Tabcorp reaches out to farmers with a $600,000 drought relief package
Tabcorp has announced a $600,000 drought relief package to help farmers across Queensland and New South Wales.
The package includes $500,000 in donations to be distributed to drought-affected communities through a number of organisations including the charities Rural Aid and the Queensland Country Women’s Association.
The Tabcorp Sky Racing team have also committed to providing Rural Aid with free advertising, including studio and talent access, across TV and radio channels valued at $100,000.
“Tabcorp works closely with communities in Queensland and New South Wales and we’re acutely aware of the impact the drought is having on them. As an organisation we’re committed to supporting our communities and we’re pleased to help our farmers when they need it most,” Tabcorp CEO David Attenborough said.
“We’ve had many offers of support from Tabcorp employees wanting to help our farmers so we’ve also committed to dollar-match employee donations or fundraising efforts for drought relief.”
